Rose Bath Salts Recipe
In this recipe we are using epsom salt, which has amazing soothing properties for muscles, and Himalayan pink salt to bring relaxation.
The essential oils we have chosen are rose absolute oil and pink grapefruit essential oil. These two scents blend perfectly together for a sweet, floral aroma! If you want to personalise the bath salts with your favourite scents, try some of our other essential oils!
Polysorbate 80 is a key ingredient in this recipe as it will help the essential oils combine with the warm bath water. If this ingredient is left out, the oil will sit on the surface of the water, and they may cause irritation on the skin.
Ingredients:
- Epsom salt 200g
- Himalayan pink salt 300g
- Polysorbate 80 15g
- Rose absolute oil 7g
- Pink grapefruit essential oil 7g
- Rose petals 10g
Method:

1. Weigh the ingredients
- Weigh the epsom salt, Himalayan pink salt, polysorbate 80, rose absolute oil and pink grapefruit essential oil into a bowl.
- Mix all of the ingredients together.
- The salts should be damp but not so wet they start to dissolve.

2. Add the rose petals
- Weigh out the rose petals and mix them into the salt mixture.
- Spread the mixture out and leave it to dry overnight.
- Once dried, pour the mixture into a sealed jar.
- Now your rose bath salts are ready to use! Just sprinkle some into some warm bath water and relax!
