Why Make Your Own Tattoo Balm?

Making your own tattoo balm means you can ensure you are only using 100% natural ingredients on your tattoo. You also know exactly what you are putting on it, so you can ensure you are not using ingredients that irritate your skin.

Most tattoo balms that use high quality ingredients can be very expensive. If you make your own tattoo balm, you get the same high quality product for a much more affordable price!

What Ingredients Are We Using

What Ingredients Are We Using?

We have carefully selected each ingredient in this tattoo balm to ensure it is gentle on the skin, but also provides natural healing properties.

Calendula infused oil - This is calendula flowers infused in sunflower oil. The calendula plant has natural anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. It is known for its ability to soothe irritated skin and heal minor skin damage.

Olive oil - This oil has amazing moisturising and soothing properties that will keep the tattoo hydrated and fresh.

Vitamin E oil - This is vitamin E infused in sunflower oil. It is a great moisturiser and it helps to repair and protect the skin from environmental damage.

Shea butter - This is an amazing ingredient that helps to improve the tattoos healing process without blocking the pores. It is extremely moisturising and softens the skin.

Mango butter - This is a great natural moisturiser and it will also help rejuvenate your skin.

Our tattoo balm is unscented as adding fragrance and even natural essential oils may irritate the skin at its most sensitive time!

2. Pour into a container

  • While the mixture is still liquid, pour it into a container and immediately place the container into the fridge to cool. If you leave it to set at room temperature, the consistency may become grainy.
  • Once the balm has fully set, it is ready to use!

How To Use A Tattoo Balm

Simply scoop out a very small amount using your finger and very gently spread it across the tattoo. Don’t use too much, you only want to create a thin layer over the top of the tattoo.

This balm can be applied to both new and healed tattoos. If your tattoo is healed, you can apply it as often as you want to keep your tattoo looking fresh.

If your tattoo is new and still healing, apply as often as advised by your tattoo artist.
